RA Wicks Building Contractors Ltd was
established in 1976, by the proprietor Reg Wicks. The company moved
from its beginnings in Middle Path, Crewkerne, to Church Street,
Merriott in 1983, where the fireplace side of the business was
established.
This family firm also involves Reg’s wife Sue, who runs the sales
and administration side of the business. Their son Tris is also
involved with flue lining, stove fitting and fireplace installation.
RA Wicks enjoys an enviable reputation for building and fireplace
work, and employs craftsmen who specialise in refurbishing older
properties, with an emphasis on using traditional materials.
