Description
Classic Cookers an Authorised Aga and
Rayburn outlet was opened by Ann Bennett in 1986. It began as an
independent business specialising solely in the sales, service and
installation of the Aga and Rayburn range cooker.
Before
Ann opened 'Classic Cookers' she'd already had 8 years experience as a
technical Aga Sales Manager with another company. She can call on 30
years of experience in the range cooker field. In those days all Aga
retailers were independent, there were no Aga Shops; they were
restricted to selling the Aga range and tightly controlled on pricing.
When Aga began acquiring these outlets, to set up their own shops, Ann
chose to remain independent. This gave her the freedom to deal with
other quality manufacturers in both cookers and cookware.
Today
Classic Cookers is a family business based in Plymouth dealing in the
sales and service of Aga, Rayburn, Falcon, Britannia, Lacanche and
Redfyre Range Cookers. The showroom based on Exeter Street also stocks
cookware from Alessi, world famous for their design pieces, Aga
Cookshop - catering to the needs of the Aga owner, WMF - a top quality
German manufacturer, Wusthoff for their superb knives etc.
Ann also likes to support local artists and she keeps ceramics by Jennie Hale and Adrian Brough.
A
lot of cooker manufacturers have now entered the range cooking market,
with models displayed in most high street stores, but Ann has stuck to
a policy of only keeping those she would be proud to have in her own
kitchen. In the kitchen quality counts; as with most things in life,
you get what you pay for. |
